What you need to know. The small dining bench seats 2 adults or 3 children. The large dining bench seats 3 adults or 4 children. As oak is a natural material, knots and markings are to be expected. Avoid placing in direct sunlight. To preserve the finish, apply an invisible buffing wax every six months.

I’m a fan of this Mars bench for its clean lines and mixed‐material look - the warm brown top paired with a matt black base feels right at home in industrial, Scandi or modern farmhouse settings. It’s sturdy enough for daily use around a dining table, yet slim enough to slip into an entry hall or under a console for extra seating. To style, add textured seat pads or bolster cushions in muted hues (think slate grey or deep ochre) for comfort and contrast. If you’re using it in the dining area, balance it with simple wooden chairs on the opposite side and a low runner rug underneath to define the space. When not in use, place a couple of woven baskets on the floor below to keep throws or magazines neatly tucked away.
