Description

The Marley Table Lamp is the perfect addition to any modern interior, working great as a feature on any side table or bedside table. Finished in chrome, the slim base plate holds a tall, delicate arm on which a grey shade sits, creating a simplistic, modern look that works as a great accent piece in any décor. The shade diffuses the light within into a soft, ambient glow, illuminating your space to create a relaxing, calm atmosphere.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Marley lamp because its sleek chrome finish combined with the neutral shade makes it incredibly versatile. It works particularly well in modern or minimalist interiors, where its reflective surface adds a touch of sophistication without overpowering the space. Practical styling tips include pairing it with light or neutral-coloured furniture for a clean look, or using it on bedside tables and sideboards to create ambient lighting. Its simple, contemporary design means it can adapt easily across different rooms, from living rooms to bedrooms, providing both style and function.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
