Description

Designed to bring warmth and texture to your home, the Marled Rib Throw in Grey is a stylish staple for any season. Its ribbed detailing adds a tactile layer, while the marled finish introduces a soft blend of greys that works beautifully with monochrome colour schemes. Whether used for lounging or styling, this throw is a must-have accent for any bed or couch.

Our Stylist Says

The marled rib throw in grey is a versatile piece that adds both texture and warmth to living and bedroom spaces. I love how its subtle marled effect offers a cosy but understated look, making it suitable for contemporary, Scandinavian, or even more traditional interiors. It works well draped over a sofa or bed as a statement accessory, or folded neatly for a clean, modern aesthetic. For styling tips, consider pairing it with neutral tones for a layered, inviting feel, or combine with different textiles like chunky knits or smooth linens to create visual interest. Its plush, ribbed texture also makes it practical for cosy nights in, while adding a sophisticated finishing touch to your decor.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
