Description

Industrial styling for your home décor with the Mario Semi Flush Ceiling Light. This ceiling light fixture comes in a robust pewter finish for a bold appearance, and features a mechanical inspired 3 arm design for an eye catching aesthetic. It also looks ideal when paired with our separately sold vintage filament light bulbs and is also ideal for low ceilings in hallways, landing or kitchens due to the minimal drop height.

Our Stylist Says

The industrial semi-flush ceiling light in pewter is a great way to introduce an edgy, utilitarian vibe to a space. I love the raw, metallic finish which pairs well with both modern and vintage interiors, especially in open-plan kitchens, loft-style apartments, or media rooms. For styling tips, consider pairing it with exposed brick walls or concrete surfaces to emphasise its industrial character. It works particularly well when used as a statement piece over dining tables or in living areas, where its compact semi-flush design provides ample illumination without overwhelming the ceiling height. To keep the look cohesive, complement it with other metal accents or vintage bulbs for an authentic finish.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
