Description

Our Marianne wall light offers a sleek contemporary fitting ideal for a modern interior, with the curving arms and cut glass shades giving a unique, yet wonderfully simplistic image to the room. The chrome finish is perfect for a modern décor, giving a fresh updated look to your home.

Our Stylist Says

I love this wall light for its sleek, contemporary design that effortlessly blends form and function. The chrome finish gives it a polished, reflective quality, making it versatile enough for both modern and minimalist interiors, as well as more eclectic schemes when paired with complementing metals or neutral tones. It works particularly well in bedrooms, hallways, or even beside bathroom mirrors where task lighting is needed without overpowering the space. A practical tip is to install it at eye level for bedside reading or as an accent to highlight artwork or architectural features, ensuring the light is both decorative and functional. Its finish and style make it a timeless piece that adds a touch of sophistication to everyday interiors.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
