Description

Our Marianne wall light offers a sleek contemporary fitting ideal for a modern interior, with the curving arms and cut glass shades giving a unique, yet wonderfully simplistic image to the room. The chrome finish is perfect for a modern décor, giving a fresh updated look to your home.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Marianne wall light for its sleek, modern appeal and versatile design. Its chrome finish and clear glass shades allow it to fit seamlessly into both contemporary and transitional interiors, bringing a touch of elegance without overpowering the space. It works particularly well in bedrooms, hallways, or in living areas where a soft, ambient light is desired. For styling tips, consider placing it alongside minimalist decor or pairing with other chrome accents to create a cohesive look. When installing, position it at eye level or slightly above to maximise its visual impact and ensure the light distribution enhances the area effectively.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
