Our Stylist Says
I love the Marianne table lamp for its sleek, modern chrome finish combined with delicate glass accents-it adds a touch of elegance without feeling overly formal. It works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, especially on side tables, desks, or bedside cabinets where its compact size can make a subtle statement. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral or monochrome colour schemes to highlight its reflective surface, and using warm LED bulbs to create a cosy, inviting glow. This lamp’s versatile design means it can seamlessly blend into a range of interior styles, from chic city flats to more understated living spaces.

About BHS.com
Historical Roots
British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.
Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.
Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!
Expansion and Evolution
BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.
They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
