Description

Elegant modern design in a compact, practical package, the Marianne 5 light flush ceiling light in chrome is a fantastic addition to any urban décor! An arrangement of curving chrome arms reveals the 5 lights and faceted glass shades, which give a softer glow to the light for a relaxing ambience across the room. Finished in a clean chrome colour, the fitting is a perfect fit in any a sophisticated and updated setting.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Marianne light for its modern, sleek design with a hint of glamour. The chrome finish makes it a versatile choice that pairs well with contemporary and minimalist interiors, but it can also add an unexpected touch to more eclectic spaces. It works particularly well in living rooms, bedrooms, or even dining areas where a statement piece is desired without overwhelming the space. For styling tips, keep surrounding décor clean and simple to let the light fixture shine; pairing it with neutral tones or metallic accents enhances its reflective qualities and creates a cohesive look. Practicality-wise, its large flush-mounted design makes it ideal for rooms with standard ceiling heights, offering good illumination while adding visual interest.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
