Our Buster floor lamp has been designed by Margo Selby, an award-winning British artist and textile designer. Inspired by the 'bobbin', a small spool to hold yarn in handweaving techniques, this striking lamp features a colourful wooden bobble stand with a shade in one of Margo's signature prints. It takes its name from Margo's grandpa, Buster, a pattern cutter on Saville Row. Designed by Margo Selby, exclusively for Habitat. Dimensions: Size H152, W40, Diameter 40cm. Diameter of base 28cm. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
