I’m a fan of this sleek rattan console because its matte-black mango wood frame and woven drawer fronts bring a natural texture without feeling rustic. It slips easily into modern Scandi, boho-inspired or mid-century settings, and the slim profile means it won’t overwhelm a narrow hallway or living-room alcove.
To style, tuck a low basket or two underneath for shoes or blankets, then layer a round mirror above to bounce light. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
