Description

Inspired by industrial designs, the Manford solid oak dining table with black metal frame is strong and stable with clean, crisp lines. Made in Vietnam, the solid oak top showcases the natural beauty of the grain and is finished with a hardwearing matt lacquer for protection. Its powder coated metal legs add a contemporary finish. A co-ordinating Manford dining bench is also available to create a stylish, streamlined look.

Our Stylist Says

The Manford dining table combines a timeless natural oak top with a modern black metal frame, making it highly versatile for various interiors. I love how the raw wood brings warmth and texture to both contemporary and rustic schemes, while the sturdy black frame adds a sleek, industrial touch. It works particularly well in open-plan kitchens or casual dining spaces, where its robust design can become a focal point. For styling, consider pairing it with mixed-material chairs - perhaps leather for a luxe feel or woven rattan for a more relaxed vibe. Keeping accessories minimal and opting for simple centrepieces will enhance its understated elegance, ensuring it remains the star of your dining area.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
