Description

Inspire a homely vibe within your décor with our Madison Check Throw. Available in a classed red, or sophisticated grey, this throw features a timeless checkered pattern that adds a touch of elegance to any space, ideal for recreating that rustic farmhouse look. Measuring 127 x 152cm with decorative fringe detailing, it's the perfect addition to your living room or bedroom.

Our Stylist Says

I love the grey Madison throw for its versatile and understated style, making it a great addition to a variety of interiors. Its neutral tone lends itself well to Scandinavian, modern, or classic schemes, adding warmth without overpowering the space. Practical styling tips include draping it casually over the sofa or bed for an inviting look, or folding it neatly at the foot of the bed for a sleek touch. Its neutral colour makes it easy to coordinate with patterned or plain linens and cushions, adding texture and comfort without clashing. Overall, it’s a practical, stylish choice that elevates cosy spaces effortlessly.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
