Get a bohemian style in your home with the new Macramé Shade in a gorgeous, natural Ivory tone. This humble piece adds a cosy, homely vibe to your home’s interior lighting arrangements with its knitted appearance, adding natural textures to your home, along with a softer, more relaxed aesthetic. This eclectic piece diffuses a beautiful, warm glow into your room, providing the trendy ‘70s feel we all love.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Macrame Easyfit Shade for its relaxed yet stylish appeal, making it a versatile choice for a range of interiors. Its ivory tone and intricate crochet design work beautifully in boho, coastal, or Scandi schemes, adding warmth and texture without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include pairing it with warm LED bulbs to highlight the handcrafted detail, and hanging it in living rooms or bedrooms where soft, diffused light is desirable. It’s also a great option for adding visual interest over kitchens or dining areas, especially when combined with natural materials like wood or rattan. Overall, this shade lends effortless charm and a tactile element that elevates everyday lighting into a design feature.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
