Description
The Macaron cushions are made by using surplus fabric from the weaving production which was not able to be made into blankets. Finding cotton fabric that compliments each colour way for backing fabric, each cover comes with a feather pad. The iconic department store Fortnum & Mason approached Majeda Clarke to design blankets that were inspired by their heritage, the result was the Macaron Collection. The delicious pastel colours of macaroons behind glass counters as you enter the store, complemented by their signature aqua colour are synonymous to the brand. Majeda Clarke plays with contrasting pastel hues within blocks interacting with warp and weft yarns creating colourful double-sided design. Fortnum & Mason wanted to capture the shared values of quality and craftsmanship in the UK
