Price History

Description

This lovely relaxing gift includes a peace lily, diffuser and an eye mask. Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum) Care Instructions- Please unpack and check your plant immediately on receipt, adding water if necessary. Position- Stand the plant indoors in natural light, but avoid direct sunlight in summer. A temperature of between 15 and 21°C (60-70°F) is ideal; keep out of draughts. Care- Check the pot every 3 days or so and add a little water when needed to keep the compost moist. Peace Lilies must not be allowed to dry out, but equally do not let the plant become waterlogged. Adding some plant food to the water every 2-3 weeks or so will help prolong flowering. Remove any dying or damaged flowers or leaves as you see them. This plant should provide an indoor display for several weeks at least, and for much longer with the right care and conditions. Reduce watering in winter. Take care to avoid hot or cold spots, such as above a radiator, or behind closed curtains at night. Caution- Protect all surfaces as scratching or staining may occur. Harmful if eaten / skin and eye irritant.

Our Stylist Says

The M&S Relax Hamper with Peace Lily plant offers a stylish yet practical addition to a variety of interiors. I love how the Peace Lily’s clean, lush foliage lends a calming, fresh vibe, perfect for creating a tranquil atmosphere in spaces like living rooms, bedrooms, or home offices. Its low maintenance and air-purifying qualities make it a sensible choice for busy households. When styling, place the plant on an unobstructed surface such as a side table or windowsill to showcase its natural beauty. Pair it with minimalist ceramics or neutral-hued accessories to enhance its understated elegance. For added ambience, this diffuser set can complement a space by subtly enhancing the environment, making it an easy, no-fuss way to bring a bit of serenity to your home while adding visual interest.

About Marks & Spencer

Founded in 1844, Marks & Spencer are an iconic brand that provides well-designed pieces that combine comfort and durability.

History and Expansion

Marks and Spencer, often lovingly called "Marks and Sparks" or "M&S", has been a staple in the UK market since its founding in 1884. Over the years, the brand has seen tremendous growth, with 1,064 stores across the UK and an additional 406 locations worldwide as of 2023.

Historically, M&S was celebrated for its commitment to selling British-made goods, pioneering the "St Michael" brand in 1928 which honoured its co-founder Michael Marks.

As they grew, M&S maintained its reputation for quality, fair value, and innovative customer policies, even allowing returns with full cash refunds regardless of purchase date.

Clothing & Home Business Endeavours

In recent years, M&S has focused on modernising its Clothing & Home business, striving to offer contemporary, stylish products that resonate with their 22 million customers.

A noteworthy move was their acquisition of Jaeger in 2021, a brand that shares a founding year with M&S. Under M&S's umbrella, Jaeger remains an independent brand, renowned for its timeless elegance, and is now available on M&S's website and in select M&S stores across the UK and Ireland.

Sustainability and Innovations

Throughout its existence, Marks and Spencer has demonstrated commitment to improving customer experience and sustainability.

In the 1950s, they introduced hygiene training for canteen staff, and by the 1960s had implemented thermostatically controlled refrigerators for enhanced energy efficiency.

M&S has been at the forefront of many retail innovations, from introducing "sell by dates" in the early '70s to enhance food quality, to banning smoking in all their stores as early as 1959 due to fire hazards.

The brand's long standing dedication to quality, customer relations, and sustainability remains evident in their practices today.
