The classic Lyngby vase by Lyngby Porcelæn is a real Danish design classic! The design was first introduced in 1936. Inspired by the Bauhaus style, the vase was in stark contrast to everything else on the market in Denmark at the time. It wasn’t until the 50’s that the vase gained popularity. The vase is made of qualitative porcelain with the classic Lyngby ruffle relief pattern. Each vase comes with a stamp of authenticity.
The tall, Copenhagen green matte vase is a versatile piece that adds a modern yet understated touch to contemporary interiors. Its clean lines and ribbed texture work well in minimalist, Scandinavian, or industrial spaces, and it pairs nicely with both fresh and dried botanicals. I love to style it as a statement piece on sideboards or mantels, or even as a standalone accent in a neutral colour scheme to add depth. Practical tips include keeping floral arrangements simple to let the texture and colour stand out, or using it empty for a bold sculptural element. Its height makes it ideal for longer-stemmed flowers or tall foliage, making it a functional yet stylish addition to various rooms.
