Description
With large, squashy cushions and curved arms that soften its angular lines, the Lyle blue wool 2 seater sofa is a relaxed, contemporary design. Perched on chromed ski legs, the inviting 2 seater sofa's narrow frame allows a generous seat for its size;its cushions have a neat tucked detail on their corners and are removable for regular plumping. The 2 seater sofa is hand made to order and is part of the Lyle range, available in various sizes with fabric or leather upholstery in a choice of colours.
Our Stylist Says
I love this Lyle blue sofa for its modern yet versatile appeal. The deep blue hue is great for grounding a space and works particularly well in both contemporary and mid-century inspired interiors. Its wool upholstery adds a cosy texture, making it a comfortable focal point, while the sleek metal legs lend a touch of industrial modernity. For styling, consider pairing with neutral-toned cushions and throws to keep the look sophisticated, or add patterned textiles for a touch of personality. It’s also a practical choice in casual living rooms or versatile open-plan spaces, as its size suits smaller seating arrangements without feeling cluttered. This sofa easily adapts to styling with statement rugs, wall art, and side tables to create a welcoming, stylish hub.

The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
Innovation & Collaboration
Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
