Description

Stay warm in style with our Luxury Warm Check Throw with Sherpa, available in Ochre, Grey, and Red. This throw combines a classic check pattern with a plush Sherpa lining and measures 130 x 150cm for ultimate comfort and warmth. Embrace the chilly seasons with this stylish addition to your home decor with the classic colour options matching a variety of colour schemes for a rustic aesthetic.

Our Stylist Says

I love this throw for its cosy, inviting feel and versatility. The warm check pattern combined with the Sherpa lining makes it perfect for adding texture and comfort to both modern and traditional interiors. It works particularly well in neutral or muted colour schemes, like the grey here, adding a layer of depth without overwhelming the space. For styling, drape it over the end of a sofa or bed for a relaxed look, or fold it neatly on a chair or armrest to introduce a subtle pattern. Practical tips include pairing it with simple, understated accessories-think neutral cushions or a wooden tray-to keep the look cohesive and effortless. It’s a stylish way to stay cosy and elevate the texture in a room.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
