Description

Soft and inviting, the Luxury Ribbon Velvet Throw in Silt Green adds a gentle layer of comfort to your home, and its striped velvet texture creates a subtle ripple effect that catches the light. The silt green finish lends a tranquil, nature-inspired feel, while the mid-size dimensions make it ideal for draping over chairs or folded at the foot of the bed. It s a versatile throw that combines style and cosiness.

Our Stylist Says

I love this one for adding a touch of understated luxury to both modern and classic interiors. The velvet ribbon texture gives it a subtle sheen, making it a versatile piece that elevates a sofa or bed. It works particularly well in neutral-toned spaces, such as contemporary living rooms or cosy bedrooms, where it can bring in richness without overpowering the overall colour scheme. Practical styling tips include draping it casually over a sofa arm or layering it with other soft textiles to create a welcoming, layered look. Its Silt Green hue is versatile enough to complement muted palettes or to add a gentle pop of colour in more neutral settings.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
