Description

Elevate your home decor with our Luxury Ribbon Velvet Throw in Cream. This throw adds a touch of opulence and warmth to your living space. Its generous 127 x 152cm size and sumptuously soft ribbon velvet texture make it perfect for draping over your sofa or bed or snuggling under on a chilly evening.

Our Stylist Says

The luxurious ribbon velvet throw is a fantastic addition for adding both texture and a touch of sophistication to a bedroom or cosy nook. Its creamy tone makes it highly versatile, working well with neutral palettes as well as contrasting with deeper colours for visual impact. I love how the velvet finish gives it a subtle sheen, making it suitable for both classic and contemporary interiors. Practical styling tips include draping it casually over the end of a bed or sofa to create an inviting layered look, or folding it neatly for a more polished appearance. It’s perfect for adding warmth during colder months, but its elegant design also means it can double up as decor when not in use.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
