Our Stylist Says
The Merengue solar spike is a fantastic addition to outdoor spaces, combining sleek stainless steel with a contemporary design that works well in both modern and traditional gardens. I love how its understated style ensures it won’t overpower plantings or garden features, making it versatile for different landscaping styles. It’s particularly effective along pathways or around patios, creating a cosy glow after sunset without the need for wiring or mains power. For practical styling, position these spikes at varying heights to add visual interest and to highlight key areas of your garden, such as seating zones or flowerbeds. Their solar-powered functionality also means they are low-maintenance and eco-friendly, making them a smart choice for anyone looking to enhance their outdoor lighting effortlessly.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
