Price History

Description

Make mornings easier with the Sunrise Alarm from Lumie. This table lamp uses light to simulate a sunrise, helping to wake you up naturally. The sunrise starts 30 minutes before your alarm time and slowly brightens so you experience a gentle wake up. You can always hit the snooze button if you want another five minutes in bed. Colour-changing light Enhance your mood with colour-changing light. This lamp can cycle through a sequence of colours, including shades of green, red and blue. There's also 10 different levels of dimmable white light, so it's ideal for bedside reading. Natural sounds If you want to add the reassurance of an audio alarm, the Sunrise Alarm is equipped with an optional alarm beep or a choice of five natural sounds. These include: birdsong, a purring kitten, tree frogs, osprey and goats. Sunset feature This light can also help you to wind down in the evenings. When you're ready to sleep, it will gradually dim over 30 minutes, and the digital display can be switched off or to a low setting.

Our Stylist Says

I love this wake-up lamp for its clean, minimalist design that works well in modern, Scandinavian-inspired interiors as well as more neutral schemes. Its soft daylight feature makes it a practical addition to bedrooms or home offices, helping to create a calm, natural start to the day. It pairs especially well with light wood furniture and neutral tones but can also serve as a functional accent in more colourful spaces. Practical styling tips include placing it on a bedside table or a shelf where it can act as both a practical light source and a subtle decorative element. Its simple, unobtrusive form means it blends seamlessly without overpowering other design elements.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
