Price History

Description

Lumie Halo is a multi-functional light therapy lamp carefully designed to bring harmony into your day from am-to-pm, all year round. Inspired by nature, it offers shades of natural sunlight in Day Mode, as well as reduced-blue light content in Evening Mode, helping to optimise your environment throughout the day. This helps to improve your energy, mood and wellbeing, and also encourages a better night's sleep. Plus, its design breaks the mould of traditional approaches to effective light therapy. About Day Mode: work and play Sunlight is a natural mood-booster, influencing melatonin and serotonin levels which helps you to feel more awake and positive The Lumie Halo uses both warm white and cool white LEDs to deliver 10,000 lux at 20cm maximum brightness, recreating the effect of natural sunlight You can adjust the brightness and mix the colour temperature of the light using the touch slider About Evening Mode: restore and unwind Inspired by the amber hues of a sunset, the restorative quality of Lumie Halo in Evening Mode creates a naturally serene environment in your home It uses only the warm white LED for illumination and the reduced blue-light content makes it ideal for use later in the day, when winding down and before sleep You can adjust the brightness using the touch slider to choose the perfect setting for reading, socialising or relaxing Backlight feature: let it glow Turn on the ambient backlight with a simple tap. It can be lit on its own or remain illuminated while the main light is set to either Day or Evening Mode With a soft and warm light shining towards the back, the backlight illuminates the lustrous copper surface of the reflector, replicating the natural glow of dusk and dawn

Our Stylist Says

I love this lamp for its sleek, modern design which makes it versatile enough to sit comfortably in a variety of interiors, from contemporary to minimalist schemes. Its circular shape adds a soft sculptural element that can serve as both functional lighting and decor. It's particularly great in spaces that could benefit from a touch of wellness, like a home office or bedroom, as it helps create a calming atmosphere while providing therapeutic light. Practical styling tips include placing it on a dresser, side table, or desk to bring a subtle pop of colour and purpose to your room without overwhelming the space. Its understated yet distinctive look means it works well when paired with neutral tones or dark, muted palettes for a balanced aesthetic.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
