Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of this deep green velvet armchair for its rich tone and tactile appeal. It works equally well in a contemporary living room or a more traditional study, anchoring neutral palettes or playing off jewel-tones. The slim timber legs give it a light frame, so it doesn’t look bulky in smaller spaces. For styling, pair it with a brass side table and a neutral wool rug to balance the colour intensity. A small patterned cushion in muted pink or ochre will lift the seat without competing, and a soft throw draped over one arm adds texture. Position it by a window or next to a floor lamp to create a comfortable reading corner.

Origins and Evolution

Cox & Cox has a rich history that intertwines with British interior design. The brand traces its roots to Fiona Cox, a renowned figure in the UK's design scene who made waves with her appearance on the BBC's hit show, Home Front.

Fast forward to today, and they're stationed in Frome, Somerset, having evolved from tiny decorative trinkets to an expansive range of stylish furniture and more.

Globe-Trotting for the Perfect Piece

The team at Cox & Cox have a knack for hunting down unique pieces. They travel around the globe, exploring markets, meeting artisans, and diving into the world of design.

Out of the hundreds of items they come across, they meticulously select those that align with their ethos high-quality, functional, and stylish. And, with their offerings split into six distinct trends, they've got a bit of inspiration for every kind of home lover.

Marching Towards Sustainability

Cox & Cox is not just about aesthetic appeal; they are deeply committed to becoming a responsible brand.

Recognizing the long journey towards true sustainability, they've put in place an advisory board dedicated to advancing the use of sustainable materials and promoting responsible practices, both domestically and abroad.
