I really like this stool for its clean lines and textured grey fabric, which brings subtle warmth to a modern kitchen island. The black steel base and adjustable height suit minimalist, industrial or Scandi interiors; style it against oak countertops, a brass pendant above and a couple of potted plants to lift the palette. For extra comfort, add a slim lumbar cushion in soft terracotta, and group two or three around the bar for a relaxed, unfussy look.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
