Description
Low Bol Coffee Tables: A Play on Volumes and ColorsWith Low Bol, the Studio Zaven has designed a pair of coffee tables that are both sculptural and modular. Their compact, expressive, one-piece form features a wide concave curve that creates a highly graphic interplay between solid and void. The set combines two designer coffee tables of the same diameter but different heights, creating a play of levels and proportions. Sculptural and Enveloping GeometryEach table features a rounded, almost cylindrical shape, interrupted by a wide concave cutout. This construction creates a dialogue between taut curves and continuous surfaces. The slightly recessed table top extends this geometry and reinforces the design’s enveloping character. The structure is made of lacquered rigid polyurethane. The glossy finishes accentuate the reflections and add depth to the colors. In this set, amaranth and caramel form a warm, contrasting duo that is particularly decorative. How should you arrange the Low Bol coffee tables? The two tables can be placed close together, offset, or separated depending on the space and intended use. The caramel-colored high table, 28 cm high, and the amaranth-red high table, 38 cm high, allow you to create a dynamic arrangement around a sofa or in the center of the living room. Their design was specifically conceived to be freely combined, producing configurations that can evolve as your preferences change. Can the two tables be used separately?Yes. Each piece can function on its own as an end table or small coffee table. When placed together, their concave shapes complement each other and form a more sculptural ensemble. This versatility makes it easy to adapt their arrangement to the size of the living room or to different times of the day. What is the purpose of the two different heights? The two heights create a layered effect that adds rhythm to the arrangement. The lower caramel-colored table keeps certain items close to the sofa, while the taller amaranth-red table creates a second level for books or decorative objects. Together, they avoid the uniform look of a traditional coffee table and visually structure the space. What interior styles do the Low Bol tables suit?Their geometric design, glossy finish, and colorful palette blend particularly well with contemporary, graphic, or eclectic interiors. They can serve as a bold accent in a neutral setting or interact with other colors in a more expressive arrangement. With their solid forms, concave cutouts, and two-tone color scheme, Low Bol transforms the coffee table into a true work of art. This modular set allows you to evolve your living room while introducing a sculptural and cheerful presence. Our Stylist Says
I really like this set of low, colourful tables for their bold, contemporary look and playful impact. The plastic material makes them practical and easy to maintain, while the multicoloured finish adds vibrancy to any space. They work well in modern or eclectic interiors, especially where a pop of colour is needed without overpowering the room. Practical styling tips include using them as a casual coffee table arrangement in a living room, or flanking a sofa for visual interest. They can also double as side tables or extra seating when needed, making them versatile and functional. Pair with neutral tones to let the colours stand out, or mix with other bold accessories for a lively, dynamic setting.
