Handcrafted in Denmark, these pieces with their exceptional quality stand the test of time. The Cuba MG501 lounge chair was created in 1997 by Danish designer Morten Gøttler. Originally trained in shipping, Morten Gøttler became a self-taught designer and architect recognised for his exceptional understanding of wood. He develops traditional Scandinavian craftsmanship in a new context. His style has its roots in the tradition of Scandinavian design, with a marked taste for lightness and simplicity, values which are joined by attention to detail, quality materials and comfort. Cuba Chair is a nod to the masters of Scandinavian design who in the past experimented and pushed the boundaries of the folding chair concept. This folding lounge chair has a solid wooden frame. The cotton straps form a comfortable seat and backrest. This chair offers excellent support by delicately following the contours of the body. The lightweight frame folds for convenient storage. Highly functional, this armchair nonetheless remains incredibly elegant. In short, it perfectly embodies the concept of complex simplicity.
