Description
Panthella 500 floor lamp by Louis Poulsen is an iconic floor lamp made of acrylic and polymer, designed by Verner Panton to diffuse a soft, pleasant light. The semi-transparent shade interacts with the characteristic trumpet-shaped base to create an even, glare-free illumination. The sculptural design language gives Panthella 500 a timeless expression, making the lamp a decorative interior detail even when switched off. The floor lamp is ideal for the living room or bedroom, where it adds atmospheric lighting.
Our Stylist Says
I love the Louis Poulsen Panthella 500 in this warm opal brown-it offers a lovely mix of retro charm and contemporary appeal. Its compact yet sculptural silhouette makes it versatile enough for both modern and vintage-inspired interiors. It works particularly well in living rooms, reading nooks, or beside a cosy armchair, where its soft, diffused glow can create an inviting atmosphere. For styling tips, consider pairing it with mid-century furniture or minimalist decor to let its iconic shape stand out, and place it on a sideboard or console to add a touch of personality without overwhelming the space. This lamp’s warm hue also complements earthy tones and natural textures, making it a practical yet stylish lighting choice.
