Ushak rugs are derived from the rug designs made by the Turkish tribe of the same name, they are used a lot in mosques and in churches, it is made using faded colours as it has be made into revived twentieth century versions.
The Louis De Poortere Ushak in Turkish Delight adds a beautiful, vintage-inspired touch to both traditional and contemporary interiors. I love its pale, faded palette which makes it incredibly versatile, working well with neutral furnishings or more colourful schemes. It’s a great choice for layered, layered spaces that need a subtle but interesting focal point. When styling, consider pairing it with understated furniture and soft textiles to highlight its intricate detail and colour variation. Practical tip: its muted tones help mask minor spills or wear, making it a practical choice for living rooms or light traffic areas where durability combined with style is important. Overall, it’s an elegant piece that brings a sense of history and warmth to any room.
