The Fading World collection offer a distressed, antique look that is suited to both contemporary and traditional room styles. This stunning 9148 Stone medallion rug has been designed by the famous Belgian design Louis De Poortere and are woven on Wilton jacquard looms using the finest cotton chenille yarns to create the intricate detailing. These flatweave rugs are approx 8mm in thickness making them the perfect choice for under tables and chairs and very durable and easy to maintain. The edges are hemmed to create a neat finish and the backing of these rugs is treated with an anti-slip coating to prevent movement on your floor. PLEASE NOTE:size 80x150cm contains two medallions within the design.
I love this rug for its versatile, timeless appeal and its ability to elevate both contemporary and traditional interiors. The medallion pattern adds a classic touch without feeling formal, making it suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, or even study areas. The soft stone hue provides a neutral base that can complement a range of colour schemes, while the slightly distressed finish adds character and a lived-in feel. Practical styling tips include layering it over hardwood or laminate flooring for added warmth, and pairing with both patterned and solid furnishings to create a balanced look. Remember, in smaller spaces, this rug can help define zones, and in larger rooms, it anchors the furniture beautifully while maintaining a calm, cohesive vibe.
