The luxury Loribaft Gabbeh 48679 is a truly unique and totally individual hand-knotted rug. Featuring a stunning Persian design in vibrant shades of blue, orange, red and yellow. The nomadic Uzbek and Turkmen tribe weave this specific Loribaft quality. Beautifully crafted using hand spun Ghazni wool on a cotton foundation, then finished using pure natural dyes. Once dyed and hand knotted in Afghanistan this rug has been transported over to Pakistan where it has been expertly finished, including washing and trimming. As such, no two pieces are the same, meaning you can add an authentic and unique piece of crafted design into your home, whilst supporting this heritage industry. The striking traditional design makes it the perfect new addition to add to the vintage home, and would fit perfectly in the hallway, bedroom and living room areas, wherever you want to make a statement and add a cultural feel.
I really like the Loribaft Gabbeh-they have a lovely, authentic feel that works well in both traditional and contemporary interiors. The colourful, earthy tones lend themselves beautifully to cosy living rooms or ethnic-inspired spaces, adding warmth without overwhelming the overall decor. Practical styling tips include layering it over a larger, neutral rug for added texture or pairing it with rustic wooden furniture for a balanced look. Since it’s wool, it’s durable and easy to care for, making it a great choice for high-traffic areas or family homes. Its size makes it versatile for living rooms, bedrooms, or open-plan spaces where a burst of colour and pattern can anchor the design.
