A real icon of French industrial design! Tired of searching for a lamp suited to his needs as a mechanist, Jean-Louis Domecq decides to draw his own lamp in late 1940’s. It has to be simple, robust and adjustable. In 1953, he creates a society called Jieldé to promote this lamp. Jieldé lamp leaves its purely industrial context in the 1990’s and grows to a collection together with the Loft, Signal and Augustin lamps. Jildé lamps have become icons of French industrial art, and are still being produced in Lyon in the same production process as they have always been. Every one of them is numbered and is thus a unique art object. Loft lamps, made entirely of metal, are proud of their original industrial design! For a perfect aesthetic look, there is no visible cable (the electrical circuit is assured by intern connections in arms and diffusers). This Zigzag Loft floor lamp has 6 adjustable arms (length of a single arm: 40 cm; maximal length of all 6 arms: 240 cm) a rotating shade (Ø 15 cm) allowing the light to be precisely angled. Smart counterbalance-system to ensure stability. The timeless design will be amazing in any room of your house or an office. Loft lamps are available in a range of colours and types (table and street lamps, pendants, wall lights).
