Price History

Description

Scented Candle with thyme essence, specially designed for outdoor use. Featuring a large surface area, the Outdoor Candle is designed to create an effective diffusion of scent in the open air. The Thyme Outdoor Candle has a high-intensity fragrance with an aromatic scent that evokes the herbaceous aroma of the Mediterranean plant, known for its mosquito-repelling properties. It reveals lemongrass notes once lit. The outdoor candle features four cotton wicks and is presented in an artisanal, glazed, terracotta vessel with a stamped base. Made in Spain. All Home Scents items are olfactory creations that highlight nature’s most natural and pure scents. Due to their handcrafted nature, no two Home Scents items are exactly the same.

Our Stylist Says

I love the LOEWE Thyme candle for its understated elegance and natural scent profile, making it a versatile addition to many interiors. It works particularly well in outdoor spaces like patios or gardens where its herbal notes complement lush greenery, but it can also bring a fresh, calming vibe to cosy indoor settings such as kitchens or sunrooms. When styling, consider placing it on a natural wood tray or among potted herbs to enhance its earthy appeal. For practical tips, group it with other candles of varying heights or styles to create an inviting focal point, and always ensure it’s in a safe, wind-protected space outdoors to prevent any flickering mishaps.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
