Description

Designed especially for children, this charming bedstead has clean, curvaceous lines and a sweet heart on the headboard and footboard. Made from pine and MDF, this bedstead will add your little one's room a relaxing setting. The solid slats also provide great support for your mattress and help your little one to get a restful night's sleep. This bed conforms to BS 8509:2008+A1:2011 (Childrens beds for domestic use. Safety requirements and test methods). We recommend it is used with a standard single mattress, L190 x W90cm. Not suitable for children under the age of 4 years. Please note: not all our ranges are on display in our shops. Have you thought about a new mattress? Shop.

Our Stylist Says

I love this little home bed frame for its classic, timeless design and versatile appeal. Its white finish lends itself well to a variety of interiors, from traditional to Scandi or even cottage-style spaces. This bed works especially well in children's or guest rooms, where it can be paired with playful or soft-toned bedding to create a cosy, inviting atmosphere. Practical styling tips include adding layered bedding with cushions and throws for comfort, or sheltering it with a canopy or fairy lights for a touch of charm. To keep it looking fresh, pair with simple, understated furniture and keep surrounding accessories minimal, allowing the bed's sweet detailing to stand out.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
