Description
Made from high-quality cotton and polyester with an effective blackout coating, this pair of children's curtains are designed with a dazzling star print. The pencil pleat design gives them a smart appearance and the pattern is easy to style in bedrooms for both young children and early teens. The blackout coating helps to block out distracting sun beams or street lights. The width dimension refers to the width of each individual curtain in the pair. More sustainably sourced The cotton in these curtains has been produced in line with the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). This is a not-for-profit organisation which exists to ‘make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in, and better for the sector’s future. BCI works with partners around the world such as WWF, Solidaridad and Cotton Connect to train farmers to produce cotton more sustainably. By buying cotton products from John Lewis & Partners, you’re supporting the training of these farmers to use water efficiently, care for the health of the soil and natural habitats, reduce the use of the most harmful chemicals and apply principles of fair and decent work. Our Stylist Says
I love these starry blackout curtains for their versatile appeal and practicality. They work particularly well in modern or kids' rooms where a touch of fun is desired without compromising on functionality. The black-out feature makes them ideal for keeping rooms dark for restful sleep or nap times. Styling-wise, they pair beautifully with soft pastel or neutral walls, allowing the stars to become a subtle focal point. For a cohesive look, consider adding complementary bedding or accessories with star motifs or metallic accents that echo the gold stars in the fabric. These curtains offer a balance of whimsy and practicality, making them a smart choice for both design and everyday use.

About John Lewis
A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion
John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.
Adapting to Changing Times
Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.
Commitment to a Greater Purpose
John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
