Description

Astronomy isn't just for the textbooks. Your budding astronauts will love our Outer Space range with its colourful portrayal of the solar system and its many stars and planets. Made entirely from soft cotton that will help to regulate their temperature throughout the night, this reversible bedding set is printed with an out-of-this world pattern on both sides. Each planet is labelled so they can learn the differences across the vast solar system. Offering two different design styles for their bedroom, capture their imagination before bed and let them soar off to sleep. The single set comes with one standard pillowcase and the double set comes with two standard pillowcases. Worth knowing The print glow ability is affected by light source and needs to be exposed to a substantial light source to glow. We recommend exposing this bed linen in daylight for a minimum of 5-10 minutes to allow it to charge. If you are unable to charge in daylight, the effectiveness will be impacted by the light bulb being used, proximity to the light source and the length of time allowed to charge. We recommend using warm light bulbs for increased effectiveness. Please do not use cool white light bulbs to charge the bed linen. We're cutting down on plastic In our quest to reduce single-use plastic waste, this bedding set comes in a matching Outer Space fabric bag. Good to know: The single set comes with one standard pillowcase and the double set comes with two standard pillowcases. To fit duvet/pillow size (cm) Standard pillowcase, L75 x W50cm Single duvet cover, L200 x W135cm Double duvet cover, L200 x W200cm

Our Stylist Says

I love the Little Home space-themed bedding-it's a playful yet practical choice for a child's room. The glow-in-the-dark feature adds a fun element that keeps the excitement alive during bedtime. It works well in a modern or contemporary nursery and can effortlessly be mixed with neutral or colour-rich decor. For styling, consider keeping the rest of the room simple with complementing accessories like star-shaped lamps or space-themed rugs, which will enhance the cosmic vibe without overwhelming the space. To switch things up, you could pair it with plain navy or white sheets and perhaps add some constellation-themed wall art to create a cohesive, stimulating environment for your little astronaut-in-the-making.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
