Price History

Description

Printed with stars, constellations and moons that glow in the dark, these ready made children's curtains will draw the eye in their bedroom. Supplied as a pair, they're made from pure cotton and have an effective blackout coating that helps to block out distracting sun beams or street lights. Plus, the pencil pleats give them a smart finish. The glow in the dark feature is a playful and calming touch, especially if they're afraid of the dark. The width dimension refers to the width of each individual curtain in the pair. Do you need a curtain pole and accessories? Shop here. Worth knowing The print glow ability is affected by light source and needs to be exposed to a substantial light source to glow. We recommend exposing these curtains in daylight for a minimum of 5-10 minutes to allow it to charge. If you are unable to charge in daylight, the effectiveness will be impacted by the light bulb being used, proximity to the light source and the length of time allowed to charge. We recommend using warm light bulbs for increased effectiveness. Please do not use cool white light bulbs to charge the curtains. By buying cotton products from John Lewis & Partners, you're supporting more sustainable cotton farming through the Better Cotton Initiative. BCI is a not-for-profit organisation which exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment it grows in, and better for the sector's future. BCI works with partners around the world such as WWF, Solidaridad and Cotton Connect to train farmers to produce cotton more sustainably. Better Cotton is sourced via a principle of mass balance and is not physically traceable to end products. However, BCI Farmers benefit from the demand for Better Cotton in equivalent volumes to those we source. Learn more about mass balance here.

Our Stylist Says

These little home curtains are a great choice for adding a touch of whimsy and comfort to a child's room. I love the glow-in-the-dark constellation print because it brings a subtle, magical element without overwhelming the space. They work particularly well in bedrooms with a celestial or space-themed decor, but also add a playful accent in more neutral interiors. Practical styling tips include pairing them with light-coloured walls to make the print pop, and using simple bed linens to keep the focus on the curtains. The blackout feature is a real plus for better sleep, and the pencil pleat design makes for easy hanging and adjustable fullness. Overall, they blend functionality with fun, perfect for creating a cosy yet inspiring atmosphere.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
