Our Stylist Says
These blackout curtains in charcoal are a practical choice for a variety of interiors, especially those aiming for a modern, minimalist look. I love how the deep, neutral tone adds depth and sophistication without overwhelming a space. They work particularly well in bedrooms, media rooms, or any room where light control and privacy are key. Styling tips include pairing them with lighter walls and neutral accessories for a balanced, contemporary feel. To make the most of their blackout feature, ensure the curtains are hung close to the ceiling to enhance the sense of height and maximise light blocking when needed. Their simple design also means they can be dressed up with textured cushions or a statement curtain rod for a customised touch.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
