Description

Lincoln Tripod Floor Lamp, Satin Brass

Our Stylist Says

The Lincoln Tripod Floor Lamp in satin brass is a sleek, contemporary piece that works particularly well in modern or minimalist interiors, adding a touch of sophistication without overpowering the space. Its tripod design offers stability and a sculptural element, making it not just a functional light source but a statement piece. I love styling it in living rooms or reading nooks where its warm brass finish can complement natural textures like wood, stone, and soft textiles. For practical tips, position it beside a sofa or armchair to create a cosy reading corner, and consider pairing with neutral or earthy-toned décor to let the brass finish pop. Its understated elegance makes it versatile enough to fit in both urban apartments and more sophisticated open-plan living spaces.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
