Description

The Lila 5 light floor lamp brings contemporary elegance into any interior, thanks to the sleek and spiralling arms and crystal effect balls giving a stunning shimmer to the light as it shines across the room. Finished in a smooth chrome colour, the lamp is ideal for offering a bright and stylish twist to those dark corners of the room. A soft glow is produced inside the interior, which allows you to unwind and relax with ease.

Our Stylist Says

I love this tall chrome lamp for its sleek, contemporary look that effortlessly adds a touch of sophistication to both minimalist and modern interiors. Its shiny finish reflects light beautifully, making it a great statement piece in living rooms, bedrooms, or even sophisticated offices. I recommend pairing it with understated furniture to keep the focus on the lamp’s sculptural design, and placing it near a cosy armchair or reading nook to enhance functionality. Practical styling tips include using warm bulbs to create inviting ambient lighting and keeping the surrounding space uncluttered to let the lamp’s design shine. It works especially well in spaces that embrace clean lines and glossy finishes, adding a touch of elegance without overwhelming the decor.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
