Instantly recognisable from its distinctive shape, the Togo has remained a cult classic for over 40 years. Hand sewn in the small French village of Briord, the curved silhouette of the legendary sofa provides the characteristic pleats of crumpled fabric whilst also making it the ideal seat to lay back and relax into.

I’m a big fan of the Togo chair in grey fabric for its low-slung, sculptural shape and exceptional comfort - it feels equally relaxed and modern. Its pared-back lines suit minimalist, Scandi or mid-century settings, but it can also be a soft counterpoint in loft-style or industrial-inspired rooms.
For styling, pair it with a slim, low coffee table or a metal-frame side table to echo its casual profile. Add a chunky knit throw or a geometric cushion to introduce texture without competing with its signature folds. If space allows, use two chairs to create an intimate reading nook or conversation corner.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
By the 1900s, almost everyone in London knew Heal's for its great furniture. Interestingly, they were also among the first to sell electric lights in Britain. During World War II, their main store even helped by making parachutes for soldiers.
