Description
A wonderful chalice of light, Lightline is a beautiful example of highly-skilled glass craftsmanship: the lamp features a superb play on colour and transparency. Its silhouette is evocative of a precious cup or elegant vase. As pretty turned off as turned on, the Lightline lamp is a sculptural object that combines strong lines and ideal proportions. Lightline consists of a large, flared cup mounted on a round base: the two volumes created from glass are elegantly overlain, playing with a complicity of tones and textures (glossy and sandy glass). Its wide glass diffuser is closed off at the top with a sandy glass disc. The LED source is hidden in the base. When the light shines inside the glass dome, it casts an almost supernatural glow. The effect is magical: the light seems to come out of nowhere, the glass appears to light up from within. Within the glass bubble, the light is magnified, protected and sheltered. It emits a warm and vibrant light created by the different hues and shades of the glass.
