Description
The Lexington Tweed Fabric Divan Bed Base with Floor Standing Upholstered Headboard combines timeless luxury with sustainable British craftsmanship. Ethically made in the UK from responsibly sourced timber, the solid platform top base offers firm, stable orthopaedic support, outperforming standard slatted frames. Upholstered in tweed fabric, it brings texture and refined elegance to both classic and modern bedrooms. The 54" grand Lexington headboard (32" front panel) features deep cushioning with premium polyester foam, enhanced by a ripple-effect design, hand-tufted fabric button detailing, and square panelling. A striking centrepiece, it blends grandeur with comfort for everyday use. The divan base measures 34.5cm in height with gliders attached (30.5cm without) and comes in all standard UK sizes 2FT. 6 Small Single, 3FT Single, 4FT Small Double, 4FT. 6 Double, 5FT King, and 6FT Super King. Choose from practical storage options including no drawers, 2 drawers (same side), or 4 drawers, for a bed that is as functional as it is luxurious.
Our Stylist Says
I love this divan base because of its clean, contemporary look paired with the textured tweed fabric, which adds subtle visual interest without overwhelming a space. It works particularly well in modern and minimal interiors, but can also complement Scandinavian or even understated industrial schemes due to its neutral tones. Practical styling tips include keeping bedside tables minimal to highlight the bed’s sleek lines, and dressing it with crisp, simple bedding to emphasise its tailored appearance. The tall floor-standing headboard makes it a great anchor for the room, offering a cosy yet uncluttered feel-perfect for both relaxed bedrooms and guest space updates.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
