I’m a fan of this grey coffee table for its clean lines, solid oak top and handy drawers - it blends painted wood and natural grain in a way that feels both fresh and lived-in. It sits comfortably in modern farmhouse, Scandi or coastal interiors, but would work equally well in a pared-back contemporary living room.
For styling, keep the surface clutter-free by using a low-profile tray to corral candles or small vases. Balance books or magazines on one side with a small plant or ceramic piece on the other, and use baskets underneath to store throws or toys. Stick to neutral textiles and a couple of accent colours - for example muted greens or navy - so the table’s simple design can really shine.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
