Description

Created in Habitat’s design studio, the Letty ash chest of drawers effortlessly combines timeless elegance with contemporary cool. Crafted from solid ash and ash veneer, the carved design is a sturdy and staple piece with contrasting darker metal handles. Its 5 drawers provide plenty of storage space for your clothes and accessories. Inspired by folk-story décor, Letty will add a rustic feel to your space, with a slight modern twist. Smooth edges and deep grain front detailing add to its intricate design.

Our Stylist Says

I love this chest for its minimalist and versatile look, making it a great addition to both contemporary and Scandi-inspired interiors. Its black finish adds a sleek, modern touch while still maintaining a neutral palette that can easily be paired with other colours and textures. Practical styling tips include keeping the top surface clear for decorative items like plants or lamps, while organising daily essentials in a tidy manner inside the drawers. It works well in bedrooms, living rooms, or even hallways, providing stylish storage that doesn't overpower the space. The five drawers offer generous capacity, making it as functional as it is fashionable.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
