Description

Design. A gorgeous addition to modern or Scandi interiors, the Leif TV Unit showcases the natural beauty of Mango Wood and the contemporary versatility of concrete. Set upon splayed legs in a stylish brass finish, it features a simple silhouette enhanced by parquet doors and geometric brass handles. Adding depth and dimension, this combination of colours, grains and textures makes the TV stand perfect for both warm and cool interiors. Spacious up top with room for decorative accessories, the Leif contains a large compartment behind double doors, as well as two drawers for all of those remotes, manuals and entertainment essentials. Sure to take the leading role in your living room, it is twice as stunning when matched with the coordinating coffee table.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Leif TV unit's clever use of mango wood combined with the bold geometric design on the front, which adds a touch of modernity while showcasing craftsmanship. It works particularly well in contemporary or Scandi-inspired interiors where natural textures are key, but it can also be a striking statement piece in eclectic or mid-century settings. Practical styling tips include keeping the top surface minimal for a clean look - perhaps with a simple lamp or art piece - and utilising the drawers and internal compartments for media essentials or decorative objects. Pairing it with warm textiles and neutral hues can enhance the natural wood tones, while contrasting colours or metallic accents will make it pop.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
