Originally designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1927, the LC7 Armchair in chrome and black leather is crafted by Cassina and is integrated within the collection co-signed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. Intended for Perriand's apartment in Paris' Place Saint-Sulpice, this compact armchair was first exhibited at the 1928 Salon des Artistes Décorateurs and subsequently at the 1929 Salon d'Automne. Designed to be used as a dining or office chair, the chromed steel and leather chair has a swivel seat that enables the user to turn from side to side to speak with fellow diners or co-workers, without straining their back. Padded with CFC-free polyurethane foam and polyester wadding, this comfortable armchair is sure to lend a touch of contemporary design to any space.
