Designed by Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret in 1928 at Le Corbusier's request, the LC4 Chaise Longue with tricolour hairy hide upholstery and a graphite leather headrest creates the perfect environment for relaxation, supporting the back and raising the legs. Crafted by Cassina from a chrome tubular steel structure with a striking hairy hide seat and graphite-hued leather covered headrest, its C-shaped cradle and enamelled base enable it to be adjusted from an almost-upright position to practically horizontal for superior comfort. The LC4 Chaise Longue was born when the designers decided to place the user at the centre of their design; taking the idea that its form and function should be the focus, to create a perfect balance between its geometry and ergonomic intent.
