Description

Originally designed by Le Corbusier in 1952 for his Cabanon in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, the chestnut LC14 Tabouret is crafted today by Cassina. Showcasing a solid chestnut wood body with a beautiful grain, the tabouret boasts a unique dovetail joint on each corner that highlights the exquisite workmanship of the design. Perfectly suited to use as a simple stool or seat, the tabouret is finished with practical openings on each side to lend it further functionality. Celebrated as one of the founding fathers of Brutalism, Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier was also one of the most prolific and diverse designers of the 20th century. Driven by the belief that furniture needed to be functional as well as beautiful, his designs are brilliantly simple and minimalistic.

Our Stylist Says

I love the appeal of this little wooden chest-its clean lines and natural chestnut finish bring warmth and texture to a variety of interiors. It's perfect for adding subtle storage in living rooms, bedrooms, or even hallways without disrupting the overall aesthetic. It works well in both contemporary and rustic settings, making it quite versatile. Practical styling tips include using it as a bedside table or a typography piece for display, perhaps topped with a decorative tray or some books. Its discreet handle invites easy access, and styling it with a few neatly stored textiles or magazines can keep your space tidy while maintaining a refined look.
