I’m a fan of this oak-topped, charcoal-painted console because its clean lines and solid-wood build suit both modern farmhouse and more pared-back, Scandi-inspired interiors. The warm oak surface balances the deep grey body, while the two drawers and open shelves make it a practical hall or living-room piece for stashing mail, baskets or books.
For styling, keep the top clutter-free by grouping a low vase, a table lamp and a framed print or mirror above. Use woven baskets on the bottom shelf to conceal everyday bits, and choose accent items in soft neutrals or muted greens to bring out the oak grain without overpowering the charcoal finish.
